The second annual ‘Rock the Dock’ Music Festival will take place at the Lake George Steamboat Company’s steel pier in Lake George Village on July 13. This year’s lineup features Formula 5, Soule Monde (which includes Ray Paczkowski and Russ Lawton of Trey Anastasio Band), Strange Machines and Let’s Be Leonard.
“Rock the Dock was started as a way to celebrate the Lake George Steamboat Company’s 200th anniversary ,” said Luke Dow, the organizer. “This year’s festival will donate 25% of all ticket proceeds to The FUND for Lake George, to help with its efforts to keep the lake clean and pristine for years to come.”
The Lake George Steamboat Company’s three vessels will be docked around the steel pier and will serve as grandstands. The Festival starts at 4 pm. Bars will be open on all three ships. Local brewer Common Roots’ Last Light IPA will be featured.
The Adirondack Brewery’s beer trucks will be parked on the pier to sell its local beer and cider as well as wine from Adirondack Winery.
Open container prohibitions do not apply as long as fans remain within the confines of the Steel Pier.
This year’s festival will also feature local craft vendors selling handmade soaps, oils, handmade jewelry and festival gear. Green Mountain Amusements will provide rides and a bounce house for children.
Tickets are $10 for ages 12 and up, and free for everyone under 12. Advance tickets are for sale for only $7 at rockthedocklakegeorge.com. Music starts at 4 pm.
